Season 2, Killer "Tynus the Rat" Fight
Description:
Tynus was an old classmate of Avon's. They both learned about and are proficient with cypher machine technology. It seems that at some point, they were both involved in a fraud together but were found out. Avon took the fall for the crime but kept Tynus's name out of it.
Years later, after Avon is on the Liberator, they have a need to be able to break Federation cyphers and as a result, they have to obtain a TP crystal that is crucial to the encoding. Avon goes to his old friend, Tynus for help. Tynus has risen in the world and is now a base commander technician on Fosforon. Avon and Vila find him in his office in the command centre.
From the moment they meet him, Tynus looks shifty. Not only does he not seem happy to see the person who saved him, Tynus is immediately concerned about his own safety and never once indicates any desire to help. Despite this, Avon still thinks Tynus is his friend. When Tynus keeps putting obstacles in the way of any ideas Avon puts forward, Avon tries to minimize the danger for Tynus. When Avon finally realizes that Tynus has no intention of helping him and is only concerned about his own safety, Avon gets angry and threatens to blackmail by telling the authorities about Tynus. Things go from bad to worse, not only is Tynus not cooperating, he begins to plot to get rid of Avon and Vila.
Later, after Tynus leaves the room, Avon begins working on the A-line converter that has the crystal. Vila stands watch outside but is knocked out by Tynus from behind. Tynus then goes into the room where Avon is working, gets a gun, confronts Avon and is prepared to kill him.
"Tynus the Rat" Fight, Part 1
Avon is working on the console and is unaware Tynus has come in (01). When he stands up, Tynus is pointing a gun at him. Avon puts his hands up and he and Tynus talk. Avon comes to the realization that Tynus means to kill him (02-04).
In the meantime, Vila regains consciousness (05). As they talk, Vila comes in. Tynus hears a noise behind him (Vila) and turns to look (06-08). Avon takes advantage of the distraction and immediately acts. First he knocks the gun out of Tynus's hand (09), then he elbows him in the mid-section (10-11). He comes around and tries to punch Tynus, from the looks of it, most likely in the kidney area (13-15). Tynus now fights back and punches Avon (16-18) and then he tries to run and turn on a switch of some kind but Avon grabs him before he can do that and prevents him from throwing the lever (19-24). In the meantime, Vila is watching, trying to get a clean shot, which he never does (25).

The "Tynus the Rat" Fight - Overall Analysis
What does it tells us of Avon the man?
This fight doesn't tell us much that we didn't already know about Avon. He is becoming an increasingly capable fighter. Much more polished than in his very first fight. He recognizes and opportunity and can instantly act on it.
This is the first time Avon kills anyone in face-to-face combat but it was most likely not his intention to kill Tynus. He punched Tynus, he did not deliberately push Tynus in to the console that eventually killed him.
Assessment of Fighting Ability
Avon has clearly grown as a fighter. His techniques are not only clear but much more practiced. He is able to take instant advantage of situations that present themselves, such as Vila distracting Tynus.

"Tynus the Rat" Fight, Part 2
Unable to throw the switch because Avon is preventing him (01), Tynus turns around and tries to deck Avon (02-05). He is not very successful and ends up being punched by Avon in return (06-08). Tynus is knocked down and barrels into the console, which for some reason is charged and Tynus ends up getting electrocuted(?) and dies.
